- ➤ A Cheyenne couple runs a nonprofit ferret sanctuary out of their home, caring for 18 rescued pets + holding free classes on proper care. They seek donations and plan to adopt out some residents to responsible new owners to ensure these misunderstood pets have a safe haven. Cap City News
- ➤ The Cheyenne City Council announced a charity fundraiser, a Calcutta benefiting Make-A-Wish Wyoming, scheduled for Jan. 30 and Jan. 31, 2026 at the Red Lion Hotel and Conference Center (204 W. Fox Farm Road) with 10% of proceeds donated. Council members praised recent arts events. Cap City News
- ➤ The Maury and Bonnie Brown Foundation bought the former Outlaw Saloon to transform it into a state-of-the-art rec center featuring an indoor track, aquatic center, and athletic spaces & a board meeting scheduled in January, Cheyenne resident Peaches Tyrrell said. Cowboy State Daily
