  • The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum is offering special local pricing through Feb. 1 for Laramie County residents—adults pay $8—and it has also announced its 2026 exhibits to showcase new additions.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Evacuation orders remain in place in Winchester Hills as first responders mop up the remnants of a grass fire (reported at 4:26 p.m. Wednesday) that spread quickly due to strong winds. Residents are urged to use the South High School shelter while emergency teams secure the area.  Cap City News
  • The Sage-Grouse Implementation Team is set to meet Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. in Cheyenne at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Headquarters to plan for a healthy sage grouse population — the agenda is subject to change.  Cap City News
  • Firefighters are monitoring remaining hot spots near Terry Ranch Road (east of I-25) after a large grass fire broke out Wednesday afternoon and triggered an evacuation that has since been lifted today.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

  • The Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority is asking landscape and horticultural professionals to submit proposals for the 2026 Downtown Cheyenne Planter Program in downtown. The one-year+three-year contract budget is between $45,000 and $55,000 with proposals due Friday, Jan. 16.  City of Cheyenne
