ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Strong winds on Friday tipped over more than 100 stacked freight cars near Cheyenne, prompting crews to work continuously and clear the tracks in (18 hours) so trains could resume running. Cowboy State Daily
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Laramie County’s average gas price fell 5 cents last week to $2.41 per gallon, 43 cents below the national rate of $2.79 per gallon according to AAA. The cheapest fuel was available at Moody’s Rock Stop on Pershing Blvd and Sam’s Club on Dell Range Blvd. Cap City News
- ➤ According to GasBuddy data, Wyoming gas prices are now at an average of $2.45 a gallon, down 31.3 cents from a month ago, with a spread from $2.05 to $3.35 across stations. Falling oil prices and strong refinery output continue to benefit Wyoming motorists today. KING FM

- ➤ A Utah company plans to import 1.3 million cubic yards of low-level radioactive waste from Canada to its Clive facility; routes may pass through Wyoming as regulators and export authorities review the plan, sparking local safety concerns. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ Military officials will update local business leaders on the $141 billion Sentinel missile program, which faces delays and price hikes, on Friday (Dec. 26) in Cheyenne. Wyoming Tribune Eagle

- ➤ University of Wyoming wrestlers Antonio Avila and John Alden won titles at the Reno Tournament of Champions on Sunday at Reno Events Center. They will return on Jan. 3-4 at Iowa's Xtreme Arena, and other Cowboys earned strong placements+boosting their season record. 106.3 Cowboy Country
- ➤ Wyoming dropped its first home game as the Cowboys fell 82-70 to Grand Canyon on Saturday afternoon inside the Arena-Auditorium (a slow start hurt the team with a season-low 37% from the field). They will face Air Force on Dec. 30. 106.3 Cowboy Country
- ➤ Wyoming Cowboys coach Jay Sawvel announced that cornerbacks Tyrese Boss and Markie Grant entered the transfer portal, leaving the team with three starters available. The move adds to offseason changes as players seek new opportunities from Jan. 2-16. KGAB
