  • Laramie County is stepping up enforcement against drunk driving this holiday season by urging residents to plan ahead with ride-shares like Uber & Lyft or a designated driver and to report dangerous drivers using the REDDI hotline at 307-637-6525.  KGAB

ECONOMY NEWS

  • In the third quarter, Wyoming saw modest job gains (about 1,300 statewide) and low unemployment while tourism posted record park visits, although mining fell by nearly 4%. Cheyenne-area reports noted rising payrolls and sales tax revenue, pointing to a balanced local economy.  KING FM

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • City leaders reversed a resolution for demolishing Cheyenne's historic pumphouse at a Dec. 22 council meeting, choosing to work with local stakeholders to explore beneficial use of the 1892 building. Public interest during a recent tour helped guide the decision + raised hopes for restoration.  KING FM

SPORTS NEWS

  • Wyoming Cowboys junior safety Justin Taylor announced he would transfer after recording 19 tackles and an interception in his lone season (his best game included six tackles). Fourteen former players are set to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal when the window opens next Friday.  KING FM
  • Justin Taylor, a junior safety (a Chicago product) who registered 19 tackles and a pass break in all 12 games last season, announced his transfer after spending two years at Wisconsin before joining Wyoming. His move joins several teammates entering the transfer portal as the market opens next Friday.  KGAB
