- ➤ On May 5 at 12:40 p.m., a Cheyenne man was arrested after a police chase and hit-and-run crash on Interstate 80 near Buford—he now faces nine charges including a felony. KGAB
- ➤ A Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper stopped 53-year-old Laurie Ellen Cascio and 55-year-old Everett Earl Hartshorn in south Cheyenne on Wednesday night for a cracked windshield and a missed turn signal—when a K-9 search uncovered 2 ounces of methamphetamine and Cascio then retrieved an additional ounce along with a loaded syringe—leading to their arrest on felony drug possession charges; they had appeared in Circuit Court on May 9. - ➤ Cheyenne city officials discussed proposals for the City Clerk and Fire Rescue budgets for fiscal year 2026 — the City Clerk division’s plan is $881,908 with added funds for software updates and training while the Fire Rescue proposal is $14.76 million with increases for wages, benefits and firefighter health programs. The proposals were part of a series of workshops, and further budget talks on the City Attorney and Engineering Department will take place today at noon in the Municipal Building. Cap City News
